TERMS and CONDITIONS


The Geraldton Greenough Sunshine Festival Inc. shall not be liable or responsible for any loss, damage or injury sustained by you, your organisation or it’s members, or the general public, either personal or proprietary caused by or arising out of any act, neglect, default or misconduct by yourself and/or your members in regard to your participation in the Float Parade.


The participants agree not to throw any item at spectators or squirt water on spectators or other participants in the parade. Any damage done to electronic devices such as mobile phones, iPods, etc. by the participants in your group will be the responsibility of your group.


The participants agree to be respectful of all other entrants in the parade. This includes limiting amplified music on their float that will impact on other parade entrants. Live music is preferred to be acoustic only.


The Chief Parade Marshal has the final say in all aspects of the Sunshine Festival parade management .

Float Safety Information


The following Safety Sheet has been provided to ensure the parade is not spoiled by any incidents. Please read carefully and pass information on to all members of your Float.


To reduce the risks of personal injury PLEASE DO NOT THROW OBJECTS INTO THE CROWD.


Consider carefully the risks of any activity you may be contemplating using as part of your float with the safety of everyone in mind. For safety reasons, objects such as sweets are not to be thrown from floats but instead, handed out below eye level in the parade route.


Do not spray water or other liquids on the spectators as damage can be caused to mobile phones and other personal electronic devices.


Please DO NOT USE BALLOONS to decorate your float due to environmental impact. These will be removed before commencement of the parade.


All entries must keep in motion - DO NOT STOP unless by necessity or by instruction of a Marshal 


DISCLAIMER


The representative for the above-mentioned organisation or group, and undersigned, having read and understood the terms of this disclaimer, hereby agree to comply with those terms.


I will ensure all float participants understand the conditions of participation in the parade and that they read the attached ‘Float Parade Safety Sheet’. I will ensure all float participants are instructed to obey the directions of the Sunshine Festival Parade marshals at all times during the marshalling, procession and dismissal of the parade.


This form is invalid without the signature of a witness.

Parent/Guardian must sign for entrant(s) under 18 years of age.
